Medion has launched an all-in-one touchscreen PC called, rather unimaginatively, The Touch.

Looking somewhat like a small display – it actually measures 24in – bolted onto a sound system, The Touch boasts a 1920 x 1080 resolution and Nvidia GeForce GT240M graphics unit with 1GB of DDR3 memory.

Inside the PC – also known as the X9613 - you’ll find Intel’s Q9000 Core 2 Quad processor, 4GB of DDR2 memory and a whopping 1TB of HDD-based storage – enough for the average person’s collection of digital photos and videos.

Speaking of content, The Touch also has a Blu-ray drive inside and integrated 2Mp webcam – which we guess you could use for conference calls and as a way of making films of yourself prancing about in front of the touchscreen.

If amusing webcam-based videos aren’t your thing, then the X9613 includes a TV tuner and HDMI ports. Audio’s provided through two integrated speakers and a subwoofer, Medion said.

The Touch’s other ports include four for USB 2.0, one Express Card slot, an e-Sata port and microphone jack, Medion added.

Wireless web is possible thanks to support for 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. Bluetooth 2.1 is also on-board as means of cable-free connection to mobile phones, compact cameras, etc.

The icing on the cake is The Touch’s biometric reader, which should help keep all your data nice and secure.

Medion’s The Touch X9613 will be available in November, with the price expected to range between £1500 and £2000 ($3301/€2244). ®
